Prince Nacacahoz, who appeared at the Ceremony in a light grey business suit, serves as Secretary of the Interior of the State of New Corning, which is often called “Buckmania” after its founder Samuel Buckman, who explored the Thread, inhabited primarily by Neolithic Caddo Indians of the late Mound-Builder period, and unified them under Chief Anadarhadacho, driving rival raiders into the hills.
The Emperor described New Corning as a “peaceful and peace-loving land of farmers and craftsmen who wish to work together with Settlers to improve their land.” He promised that the Empire would bring “share with our brothers there the benefits of a more advanced civilization – sanitation, medicine, literacy, improved farming methods and machinery, and organization to protect against raiders and all foreign enemies.
New Corning is seen as a strategic goal of the Sovereign State of New Orleans’ invasion of the Confederate States (Galveston). The Apophis regime may seek to take Buckmania in hopes of “weakening” the wall between the Kessel Run and Buckmania, opening a direct path to Texas as well as potentially opening a more direct gate between New Orleans and the Midwestern States.
The Ceremony in Albany’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception was administered by the Bishop of Rochester, the Archbishop of Albany absent attending the Ecumenical Council at the Vatican. The oath was co-administered by the Anglican Archbishop of Albany. Prince Nacacahoz and other Christian Caddo are Protestant, and Prince Nacacohoz sits as Chief Elder of the Church of the Caddo Nation.
