Palembang, Srivijaya Indonesia, July 1 - Princess Dewi Tara, Empress of Srivijaya Indonesia issued a royal decree today, declaring her thread to be a neutral party in all Inter-thread conflicts. According to the decree, which was marked with the royal seal and is to be circulated to all the empire's ports, all trade ships willing to pay the required docking fee will be allowed entry to the thread and access to its markets.
This announcement comes as tensions are increasing between the Malaysia backed ITF and the loose coalition of states aligned with the Sovereign State of New Orleans. It may also reflect an awareness of the increasing competition for resources between the world's high TL threads.
Indonesia, a recently discovered thread, is rumored to be located at the nexus of trade between the Indian and Pacific oceans. A recent JET expedition discovered the thread's existence after arriving there unexpectedly while attempting a routine survey of an uninhabited sea thread.
Princess Dewi Tara shares dominion over the thread with her husband, the Emperor Samaratungga. When asked for comment on the policy, she said: "The Srivijaya Dynasty has always been devoted to peace and balance. We choose to offer our services evenhandedly in order to prevent conflict later on. We are a small thread, and like a small fish in the current, do not seek to change the current with our fins and tail, but rather to let it guide us."
