DANZIG, November 6 (HNS)– In an unprecedented move, a vote of "no confidence" by the ruling party has ousted the former supreme leader of Danzig, Diterich Weishaupt. The new Gruppenführer is the leader of the Black Front movement within Danzig, Otto von Lüttwitz.
Gruppenführer von Lüttwitz immediately instituted sweeping changes in Danzig. Firstly, in line with Black Front policy, he announced that Danzig would be moving to free and deport its slaves, "so the Aryan race can get ahold of its own destiny."
In addition, with the support of the pagan "Old Wayers," the new Gruppenführer legalized any religion in Danzig that could show "proper respect and reverence for the Danzig state."
The plans to move from a slave-based economy and to find a new home for the freed slaves are still under discussion.
"We hope the City of Glass can take some of them," said von Lüttwitz.
Few of the citizens of Danzig are willing to talk to the foreign press, but a source in the Danzig Underground said that this seemed to be the result of many factors: First, several scandals which came to a head in several murders before and during the JET deployment to Danzig, showing the previous government's "inability to keep order".
Second, the recent rift with Croatia, also laid at the feet of the previous administration.
Third, there was agitation for a form of limited religious freedom by the "Old Wayers" (Danzig-style Norse pagans) and "New Hitlerists" (a softer form of the old state religion of Hitler worship), and the old regime was dead set against this.
The New Hitlerists, in particular, are strongly with the Black Front, who are "moderate" members of the ruling party. The Black Front maintains the same racialist ideology as the rest of the rulers of the Thread, but feel that slavery weakens the "strength and fierceness" of the "Aryan race".
