During the Confederate Texas deployment of JET Team A, forces of the Sovereign State of New Orleans mounted a naval evacuation of most remaining forces from Corpus Christi. Texas and allied forces, supported by JET Team A and coordinated by Texas Telegraphers moved forces to block the evacuation and destroy ships at sea.
At a battle now referred to as the Battle of South Padre Island, Texas vessels with JET Team A advisors faced three more powerful SSN ships including the massive ironclad Seti. New Orleans forces were sufficiently rebuffed to prevent fleeing merchant and freight vessels from reaching open ocean. Texas forces, with support from allies and JET Team A, continue to board and mop up these trapped vessels. It is believed that Sovereign State forces may have taken significant losses but some powerful creatures remain on board some of the trapped ships and the situation remains confused with some vessels not even clearly flagged.
