SVERDLOSK, TL7 USSR, July 6 -- After a closed-doors meeting of the ITF (Inter-Thread Task Force) Treaty Members in Sverdlosk this week, the ITF has officially upbraided the Magic Kingdom for its actions against Rising Sun and Camp Century.
Though the resolution strongly condemned "attacks on Rising Sun and terrorist actions against Camp Century," it did not urge any action on the part of ITF members or the ITF as a whole.
"The actions of the Florida-based Thread known as Magic Kingdom cannot be denounced strongly enough by the international community" was the opening sentence of the 15-page resolution.
"The resolution, combined with its careful avoidance of any positive action even as a recommendation, implicitly gives Rising Sun the moral authority to prosecute a war against the Magic Kingdom," said Dr. Glenn Christmann, PhD, a political commentator and professor at the Penn State Department of Political Science.
"The wording regarding Camp Century was likely added at the insistence of the Hive," added Dr. Christmann.
The Magic Kingdom is a Thread consisting of most of what was the state of Florida in the pre-Event United States. It is run by a version of the pre-Event Disney corporation, and like the Hive and several other major Threads, it has a reputation for using technology to manipulate and control its populace.
It is estimated to be a 7 on the Penn State Tech Level Scale, with a Kellner Rating of zero, with a Sigma of 2.41, which puts it on the edge of the "stable" range for a Thread. Like most TL7 powers, hypertech devices work very well in the Magic Kingdom.
